Overview
The San Diego street course is a 3.4-mile, 16-turn circuit laid out on the roads of Naval Base Coronado. It is not a permanent racetrack. The course was built for NASCAR's 2026 race weekend, which celebrated the 250th anniversary of the U.S. Navy.
The layout runs past the base's aircraft carrier berths. Turn 5, called Carrier Corner, sits between the spots where the Navy docks two of its carriers.
All three of NASCAR's national series raced there in 2026. The Cup race was 75 laps and 255 miles, and the O'Reilly Series race, NASCAR's second-tier national series, was 60 laps and 204 miles.

On August 26, 2026, NASCAR announced a return for July 30 to August 1, 2027, and said it intends to move the military-base race to a different installation in 2028.
