About Grand National Today

Grand National Today covers the NASCAR O'Reilly Auto Parts Series, the CARS Tour Late Model Stock Tour, and the developmental racing world that builds the stars of tomorrow.

The name is deliberate. The NASCAR Grand National Series (1949–1971) was the sport's founding era — the Petty era, the Allison era, when stock car racing was regional, rough, and real. Grand National Today is the spiritual heir: covering the modern equivalent of what the Grand National was.

We don't chase Cup Series headlines. We cover the ladder below it — where careers are made, where stories are raw, where the sport's future is being written on short tracks most of America has never heard of.
