Corey Day won the Blue Cross NC 300 at Charlotte Motor Speedway, his second straight win in the Chase, the NASCAR O'Reilly Auto Parts Series playoff, with a three-wide pass under Jesse Love and Justin Allgaier on the backstretch with 10 laps left. He won Stage 1, was penalized for driving through too many pit boxes, restarted 30th, was seventh by the end of Stage 2 and beat Love by 0.728 seconds. Day is third in the Chase, seven points behind Sheldon Creed, who leads Love by two. Allgaier, who scraped the wall in Turn 4 with 17 laps left, is fourth, 15 back.

Davey Segal hosts with Dylan "Mamba" Smith, Chris Wilner and Dillon Welch, who interviewed Love and Creed for The CW after the race. They talk through the winning restart, how Day made up 85 points in two races, Love leading the most laps, Creed's recovery to third after early wall contact, and what each contender needs at Phoenix. They score last week's picks (Davey had the winner) and pick the Timberland PRO 200 at Phoenix Raceway on Saturday, Oct. 17: Dillon takes Jesse Love, Chris takes Justin Allgaier, Mamba takes Carson Kvapil and Davey takes Corey Day. It is Dillon's last show on the panel.
