Team Overview
AK Performance is the team that launched Donovan Strauss's real-world racing career — and the one he came back to. After a detour to Tom Usry Racing was announced in late 2025, Strauss reversed course and returned to AK Performance for 2026, citing the team's role in his development from sim racer to competitive late model driver.
The team took Strauss to victory lane at Florence Motor Speedway in 2024 during his first full season in Late Models — a remarkable achievement for a driver who came up through eNASCAR and the iRacing pipeline rather than traditional grassroots racing. For 2026, the pair plans to attempt the full CARS Tour LMSC schedule.
