Aiden King is the youngest driver competing full-time on the 2026 CARS Tour Late Model Stock Car grid. At just 15, the Mooresville, North Carolina-based driver pilots the No. 7 Chevrolet for Matt Piercy Racing — a team owned by Matt Piercy, the 2015 Hickory Motor Speedway track champion.
King's rise through the short-track ranks has been remarkably fast. He began competing in the CARS Pro Late Model Tour with Walker Motorsports at age 12, making him one of the youngest drivers in the series' history. He later moved to Lee Faulk Racing before joining Matt Piercy Racing for the remainder of the 2025 season and into 2026.
At Hickory Motor Speedway in 2025, King became the youngest track champion in the history of one of America's most storied short tracks, capturing both the Limited Late Model Track Championship and the Paramount Kia Big 10 Challenge title. Those accomplishments, earned against fields that regularly include drivers twice his age, announced him as a legitimate talent.
King stepped up to the CARS Tour LMSC division for select events in 2025 and moved to a full-time schedule in 2026. At Nashville Fairgrounds Speedway on April 5, 2026, he finished seventh — one lap down but inside the top ten in a 31-car field against far more experienced competition.
His youth, the speed of his development, and his willingness to race above his age group make King one of the most intriguing prospects on the CARS Tour.
