Career
Burton spent 2023 and 2024 in the Cup Series with Wood Brothers Racing before returning to the O'Reilly Series in 2026. He is the son of former NASCAR Cup champion Jeff Burton and grew up immersed in the sport. His Cup tenure gave him experience at the highest level of NASCAR even as the results were modest. He arrives at Sam Hunt Racing with name recognition and Cup-level experience that most mid-tier team drivers lack.
