Car: No. 8 | Team: JFCO Motorsports | Manufacturer: Chevrolet | Status: Full-time CARS Tour LMSC | Hometown: Durham, NC | Age: 26

Career Highlights

Tate Fogleman is one of the most credentialed drivers on the 2026 CARS Tour Late Model Stock Car grid, bringing 60 NASCAR Truck Series starts and a Talladega victory to a short-track campaign. The 26-year-old from Durham, North Carolina, drives the No. 8 Chevrolet for JFCO Motorsports.

Racing is a family enterprise for the Foglemans. Tate's father, Jay Fogleman, competed in both NASCAR and the CARS Tour, giving Tate a front-row seat to the sport from childhood. A Durham Academy graduate who went on to study business at High Point University, Fogleman has balanced education with a racing career that spans more than a decade.

Fogleman's most dramatic moment came at the 2021 Chevrolet Silverado 250 at Talladega Superspeedway, where he won in a photo finish — sending John Hunter Nemechek sideways on the final lap and beating Tyler Hill by just 0.052 seconds. It remains one of the most memorable finishes in recent Truck Series history. Across his Truck career (2018, 2020–2022), Fogleman competed for Young's Motorsports, On Point Motorsports, and Rackley WAR.

Before moving to the national series, Fogleman cut his teeth on the CARS Tour Super Late Model circuit, where he won the 2017 Throwback 276 — an early indicator of his short-track ability. He transitioned to the CARS Tour Late Model Stock Car division in 2023 and has been a regular competitor since.

Fogleman entered the 2026 CARS Tour season opener at Southern National Motorsports Park and has been on multiple entry lists through the early part of the season.
